Leading with Trust -
Our Founder's Promise to Parents
As someone who has regularly googled everything from "how much iron should my baby have" to "how can I sleep train my baby", and gotten a range of conflicting answers, I know that parents need answers we can trust.
Simone AI isn't trained on internet opinions. She's built on medically verified facts, real-time safety protocols, and privacy that puts our families first.

Medically Verified, Globally Vetted
How it works in your chat: When you ask about safe sleep, Simone pulls from a Universal Knowledge Base where every fact is tagged with an Evidence Level—from Universal Consensus (WHO + UNICEF + multiple national bodies agree) to Traditional Practices that honor your culture. She'll tell you: "Babies should sleep on their backs on a firm surface—this reduces SIDS risk by about half" because that stat is cross-verified across four major health organizations.

Ages & regions matter: Simone knows that "exclusive breastfeeding for 6 months" is universal, but implementation varies by workplace policies, cultural attitudes, and support systems. She adapts the how for your reality, not just the what.
Crisis Detection That Acts in Seconds
I have been in the depths of postpartum depression, and I know firsthand not only how destructive it can be but also how it can sneak up on you. At the time, the closest people around me couldn't even detect it - they told me I was "hormonal", but internally, I was breaking. So when I built Simone, I made sure she could read the signs of depression and anxiety. Because the safety of our children and ourselves are the most important, and sometimes we just need someone to see us and understand what's going on.

Simone does real-time emergency assessment and scans every message for crisis patterns with severity scoring:
-
Level 9: Self-harm, harm to others, psychosis → Immediate emergency protocol
-
Level 6: Severe distress, suicidal ideation → Same-day crisis resources
-
Level 3: Persistent symptoms → Scheduled support options
What that looks like: If you type "I feel like I can't go on anymore", Simone detects potential harm indicators and responds:
"I’m hearing something serious in your words, and I want to slow down and make sure you’re safe... In the U.S., you can call or text 988 to connect with the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline—they’re available 24/7, free and confidential. Would it be okay if we talked about what’s making things feel so heavy right now? I’m here with you."

Emergency numbers for 100+ countries: From the U.S. (988 Suicide Prevention) to Nigeria (MANI: 0809-111-MANI) to Japan (TELL: 03-5774-0992), Simone pulls location-specific emergency contacts and postpartum-specific hotlines like PSI's 1-800-944-4773.
Culturally Intelligent, Not Culturally Blind
I am Chinese, and my husband is Swedish. Our family is multi-cultural in every aspect, from food to traditions. Parenting isn't one-size-fits-all, so I made sure Simone wasn't either.
Simone has 55+ country-specific adaptations: Simone's Regional Mental Health Adapter knows that:
-
In Latin America, family councils and sobadoras (traditional healers) are part of care—she'll suggest integrating them.
-
In Asia, mental health may be expressed physically—she listens for "exhaustion" as anxiety.
-
In Africa, community-based healing is central—she recommends Red Cross community models.
-
In Middle East, gender-specific providers and faith integration matter—she asks about preferences.
Language-aware support: Simone matches resources to your language, offering:
-
Spanish PSI resources ("Línea de Apoyo")
-
Arabic mental health terminology
-
Mandarin crisis lines
-
Not translation—cultural translation.
Traditional + Modern: Simone respects your traditions. She'll say: "Both your community's healing practices and professional support can work together for your wellbeing."
Privacy: Your Family's Data Stays Yours
My goal was to build something that is helpful for parents like myself.
So... No data mining. No ads. No selling. Simone's architecture is built on zero-knowledge principles.

Here's what happens when you message Simone:
-
WhatsApp encrypts it (end-to-end) — no one between you and our server can read it.
-
Then Simone encrypts it again — the moment it reaches our system, your message is locked with a second key that only Simone's secure environment can unlock.
What this means for your family:
-
Server-side protection: No one can browse your chat content. It's encrypted at rest with Fernet 128-bit keys.
-
Defense in depth: If one layer fails (WhatsApp, cloud provider), your data is still protected.
-
No plaintext storage: Your "toddler tantrum at 2 AM" vent is never stored as readable text. It's ciphertext from the moment it reaches Simone's system.
-
One-way privacy: You can delete your chat history anytime. Once you do, even we can't reconstruct it.
That second encryption key? It's not in the codebase. It's loaded from a secure environment variable, never committed to version control, and can be rotated instantly if needed.
Evidence You Can Trace
Behind every recommendation:
-
Book Knowledge Base: 200+ parenting books, from Dr. Becky Kennedy's Good Inside to Hunt, Gather, Parent (Michaeleen Doucleff) to region-specific titles like Parenting Sutras: Ancient Wisdom for Modern Raising (India).
-
Journal Access: 100+ peer-reviewed journals across WHO regions—Pediatrics (AAP), African Journal of Reproductive Health, Revista Panamericana de Salud Pública.
-
Research-backed interventions: For postpartum depression, Simone pulls from the Marcé Society Research Repository and WHO mhGAP Evidence Resource Centre, showing you systematic reviews and regional studies, not just one-off articles.
Transparency in What She Can't Do
I've caught ChatGPT cheating and lying many times.

Simone is honest about her limits:
-
Not a doctor: She gives guidance, not diagnoses. "This sounds like it could be reflux—here's what pediatricians typically suggest. You should confirm with yours."
-
Not emergency services: She redirects to 911, 999, or your local emergency number immediately.
-
Not a replacement for therapy: She offers coping strategies, but for clinical conditions, she connects you to PSI peer mentors or local therapists.
